View changes over time with Layer Swipe

The Layer Swipe tool allows you to see how an area has changed over time. Use this tool to see how a certain area has changed over specified years, using different backgrounds.

To use this tool, first go to the Menu in the top-left corner of the screen, then click Layer Swipe.

Depending on where your map is zoomed, your screen could look similar to the image below. To change the backgrounds on each side, select from the drop-down menus on the left and right. Slide the gray bar in the middle to the left and right to see more or less of one side. Click the "X" in the top right corner of the screen to exit out of the tool.
